We are getting ready to sell a used van at our house. There is lots of information on the internet about new and used cars that is helpful for both car buyers and sellers. I use Edmunds and NADA to look up prices on used cars. I also use Autotrader and Cars.com to look for comparable vehicles for sale to see what the local market looks like. I ran across a new site called TheCarConnection.com that is dedicated to new car information including reviews, breaking news and spy shots of models that are not yet available. One of the big questions in this tough economy is whether it is a good time to buy a new car. If you are in the market for a new car, experts say that car shoppers should make a budget and stick to it. Don’t get tempted by the great deals on more expensive models. Check your credit and get a preapproved loan to put yourself in a stronger negotiating position at the dealership. Consider certified used cars which will be less expensive while still offering an attractive warranty. Used cars also depreciate more slowly than brand new models. The economy is tough right now, but sooner or later things will begin to bounce back. They always do.

The weather has taken a quick turn to colder temperatures, and it won’t be as easy to head outside and take a walk around the block. We have added a compact elliptical trainer to our game room, and a small folding treadmill might provide an additional opportunity to keep a regular exercise schedule during these short winter days. The Treadmills Guide at TreadmillsGuru.com provides reviews of 40 different treadmills from affordable models to high end fitness center equipment.

I read a new word today. I guess it is actually a brand name, but it is probably a word that will soon find its way into our language to describe an event that is more than an expedition. That word is Maxpedition. Maxpedition Gear is hard-use nylon gear that can be used for everyday tasks, but the equipment is designed to be used by military, police, and outdoor professionals around the world whose work requires reliable and durable gear. From extreme sportsman to digital graphics artists, people who appreciate well crafted carry gear will find the best quality and design in Maxpedition Gear. Maxpedition has come up with some unique names to describe their products like the Operator Attache, the DoppelDuffel Adventure Bag, and the RollyPoly Pouch. There is also the Fatboy Versipack, the Monsoon Gearslinger, and the Pygmy Falcon Backpack. All of those colorful names remind me of the J. Peterman catalog from the Seinfeld TV show. J. Peterman is actually a real company with a real catalog and online store. J. Peterman’s mission is to bring people the world. I think Maxpedition Gear’s mission is to help people experience the world. Check out a full line of Maxpedition Gear products at SierraAdventureGear.com.

A special offer is available for 25% off Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10 Preferred, and Mac users can get 10% off MacSpeech Dictate. The article below was written using Dragon Naturally speaking at an equivalent typing rate of about 100 words per minute. Nuance is allowing us to offer our readers a 25% Discount Coupon CODE Exclusive for Dragon Naturally Speaking, but you must click the image below and use this code (DNSMSBG) Together. Code will not work from other sources” Drew of the BenSpark has put together a great little video demonstrating Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10. Drew has been blogging for quite some time and he might just be one of the best mobile bloggers that I know. He is probably more famous for his picture a day work as he is an excellent photographer. But I can’t help be amazed at how much content he creates and the high level of quality in that content. He’s definitely a blogger that employs best practices when he finds them, and based on this video, it looks like he might see some potential in Dragon NaturallySpeaking. Now I am not trying to put an endorsement in Drew’s mouth. Time will tell, but I do think he is off to an excellent start. You’ll notice in his video, that the sound quality of his video is excellent. That’s actually an important aspect for Dragon NaturallySpeaking. I don’t mean that you need good video quality or sound quality in a video to make Dragon NaturallySpeaking work. However you do need a good microphone, and it should be a noise canceling microphone at that. The better the sound quality, and the better able your microphone is to remove other background noises, the better your system will be able to recognize the words that you say as fast as you say them and transcribe them accurately. Now Dragon NaturallySpeaking comes with a noise cancellation microphone that works very well when you buy it out of the box. Drew is working with a download version that does not come with a microphone, and so he had to supply his own. As I write this article, I am using a wireless headset microphone from Logitech. I’ve been using Dragon NaturallySpeaking for almost two years now, but I’ve just recently untethered myself from Dragon NaturallySpeaking and started using a wireless headset microphone with noise cancellation capabilities. Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10 does have the capability of working with Bluetooth wireless microphones, but my particular microphone runs on 2.4 GHz wireless technology. Now if you live in a household or work in an office environment where there are a number of systems or phones or microwaves, you may experience some interference with this particular headset. In that case, you will probably be better served with either a Bluetooth headset or a headset that is capable of being plugged directly into your computer through the microphone plug or through USB. I don’t have that issue, and so I do get excellent quality with little to no interference at all. So if you take an interest in Dragon NaturallySpeaking and want to try it for yourself, I highly recommend that you get a boxed version of the software which you can order from Nuance online. You can even get a good deal on a Bluetooth wireless headset and a bundled option from Nuance. If you’re looking for entry level pricing, you can start using the software and get a headset microphone for as little as $75 if you act fast and use the coupon code with our links in this article available exclusively to blog readers. To put that in context, I’ve taken three typing classes over the years to boost my typing speed and spent essentially three semesters practicing at typing. It wasn’t the only thing that I studied, but I spent a lot of time building up my typing skill. With Dragon NaturallySpeaking, you can invest $75, invest an hour installing the software (I’m being very conservative with that time estimate) and as little as 10 minutes training the software to recognize your voice. Then you will be off and running typing at 150 words per minute! That is pretty amazing, and well worth the value of $75($99 with the exclusive discount coupon code DNSMSBG for 25% off if you use the clickable image in this article, but act soon before the code expires!). Not to mention if you spend a little extra and get a wireless headset microphone, you can pace around your room or your office, you can exercise, or do a number of different things other than sit at a computer desk staring at your computer all day long. Best regards, My name is Brett Bumeter, and I wrote the article above and 4 1/2 minutes. The article is about 659 words long, and that translates into 144 words per minute. Add in two minutes for editing, and that’s still 100 words per minute!

I ran across a web site for Chesapeake Bay Farms, an operation that touts itself as the only dairy farm in Worcester County, MD. The farm is located just a couple of miles west of Berlin, MD, on Route 50. CBF is a family operation that has branched out from the main dairy operation into cheeses, ice cream and butter which are offered through their farm store. If you are traveling east from Salisbury, take the first left after the Rt. 90 split onto Logtown Rd. and look for the cows. The store is currently open Wednesday thru Sunday from 11:30-5:30.
These local products are also available for wholesale and fundraisers. Support local cows.

In these days of a tough economy, many people will be looking for ways to ease the stress of debt that has piled up for many reasons. Whether they are college costs, unexpected health care expenses, or just monthly bills that are outpacing income, the need to avoid bankruptcy or calls from collection agencies will force a search for solutions. Debt consolidation services are one way to lower monthly payments and interest rates or consolidate your bills into one loan with improved terms. Bills.com claims to be your one stop resource for saving money. The site offers tips and resources for the best debt consolidation option for your specific situation. Just when you think you have caught up, another bill comes in the mail. If you have bad debt, bill consolidation can help. Bill consolidation brings all of your debt into one loan. The process can be started by applying for a secured loan on your property and will work best if you can get a lower interest rate. You may wonder why another lender would be willing to work with you. Lenders make money off of the interest you pay, and if the loan can be secured by property, then they have collateral for the debt. Monthly payments can often be lowered by extending the length of the loan. If you can cut some expenses and begin to pay down your debt, then you might not need bill consolidation, but if you are having trouble making ends meet, bill consolidation might be a good option for you.

If you have received an unwanted call from an unknown phone number, there are resources online to help you search for information about the caller. Some web sites help you Search Area Codes in your state and provide options to retrieve complete information on the owner of the phone number.
