If you are running a self installed Wordpress blog, I highly recommend the Wordpress Automatic Upgrade plugin. I have used the plugin to move through the last couple of Wordpress versions with great success. The plugin backs up files and databases before upgrading. WAU makes the move to newer versions, should I say it, foolproof.

Josiah Leming was the last contestant to be cut from the most recent season of American Idol. Leming recently released a digital EP of five songs which can be found on his MySpace page, and he hopes to release a complete album in January despite the efforts of American Idol to block the effort. AI says that the contract signed by contestants forbids them from recording with a label other than Sony/BMG. Leming’s memorable story of being homeless and living in his car made the final cut a surprise. According to MTV, he is only one of four contestants to get a record deal this year.

With just four more days to the election, some of us might still be looking for help in making the decision on who to vote for in the presidential race. There have been a lot of accusations thrown around by both candidates and their campaigns. If you would like an objective opinion on which accusations are true, then check out the Campaign Truth-O-Meter at Politifact.com. From lipstick on a pig to equal pay, all of the topics are given the once over to determine the truth or the stretching of the truth. You can even see whose pants have been on fire the most.

I have had some luck this year on both the buying and selling side of Craigslist classified ads. Craigslist covers the Delmarva peninsula with two regions. One region covers the Eastern Shore of Maryland and Virginia. The rest of the peninsula is covered by the Delaware site. I have sold a couple of bikes and some other outdoor equipment that our kids have outgrown. I bought an old rear engine riding mower from a guy in Delaware. The ads are free, and all correspondence can be handled by email if you don’t want to give out a phone number. I am a big eBay fan, but Craigslist is the best for stuff that doesn’t fit easily in a box.

In these days of a tough economy, many people will be looking for ways to ease the stress of debt that has piled up for many reasons. Whether they are college costs, unexpected health care expenses, or just monthly bills that are outpacing income, the need to avoid bankruptcy or calls from collection agencies will force a search for solutions. Debt consolidation services are one way to lower monthly payments and interest rates or consolidate your bills into one loan with improved terms. Bills.com claims to be your one stop resource for saving money. The site offers tips and resources for the best debt consolidation option for your specific situation.

Just when you think you have caught up, another bill comes in the mail. If you have bad debt, bill consolidation can help. Bill consolidation brings all of your debt into one loan. The process can be started by applying for a secured loan on your property and will work best if you can get a lower interest rate. You may wonder why another lender would be willing to work with you. Lenders make money off of the interest you pay, and if the loan can be secured by property, then they have collateral for the debt. Monthly payments can often be lowered by extending the length of the loan. If you can cut some expenses and begin to pay down your debt, then you might not need bill consolidation, but if you are having trouble making ends meet, bill consolidation might be a good option for you.

Just in time for the upcoming election, a new site has popped up on the radar to expand the political debate. ArgueWithEveryone.com is a political discussion forum that should provide some heated debate in the mostly unmoderated forums. This kind of open discussion should attract both party loyalist and borderline crazy comments on a multitude of issues that AWE members are interested in.

If you have received an unwanted call from an unknown phone number, there are resources online to help you search for information about the caller. Some web sites help you Search Area Codes in your state and provide options to retrieve complete information on the owner of the phone number. There are also services that will block your information from the search for a small fee. If you are a resident the state of Maryland, give reverse phone lookup a try now.

A turbocharger is added to an engine to increase the power by pumping more air into the cylinder for combustion. The typical boost in power ranges from 30% to 40%. Turbochargers are powered by the engine’s exhaust which spins a compressor. I have always admired Saab turbo models. Saabs are one of the most unique lines of cars with attractive styling and excellent safety features. Turbo diesel engines are common on heavy duty pickup trucks to maximize the hauling and towing capacities.

If you are in the market for a replacement or add on turbocharger, then check out TurboChargerPros.com which offers an extensive inventory of turbochargers and superchargers with full warranty. Auto enthusiasts that are looking to boost a tuner will find everything you need to make your Audi, VW or any model blow the competition away.

Sometimes it is just fun to check out some of the wild rides that are available in car showrooms. The 2008 audi s4 is one such wild ride even though the exterior package is a somewhat tame design. The S4 has a 4.2 liter V8 packed under the hood that puts out around 340 horsepower, which easily qualifies it as a sport sedan. The S4 is also available in wagon and convertible body styles. Audi has included a sport-tuned suspension, powerful brakes, and the famous Quattro all wheel drive system that allows the driver to be more aggressive on those curvy back roads. The Audi S4 continues the tradition of refined design and exceptional quality that is expected in a high end sedan.

The Audi S4 can easily make the transition from sport sedan to everyday driver, even though it possesses the ability to accelerate from 0 to 60 in just 5.3 seconds. The S4 is available with a six-speed manual gearbox or a six-speed Tiptronic automatic. The automatic transmission allows manual-style shifting with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters. The sedan includes a full package of safety features including stability control, anti-lock disc brakes and front seat side airbags on all body styles, with additional full-length side curtains for the sedan and wagon. The 2008 Audi S4 is one of the best sport luxury sedans around.

Worcester County has released a new publication titled Rain Gardens in Maryland’s Coastal Plain.

Rain gardens, are depressions in the ground that are strategically placed to capture runoff from impervious surfaces like rooftops, driveways, sidewalks, and even lawns. A strategically placed rain garden can intercept the runoff, allow the water to infiltrate into the soil, and filter out pollutants like oils, fertilizers, and pesticides before entering the bays.

The brochure suggests ideas regarding the construction and plant selection for a rain garden that will maximize the effect on water runoff from properties in Maryland’s coastal plains. The publication is available for free at the Worcester County Department of Comprehensive Planning office in Snow Hill, MD. An electronic version is available online.

I pay with my credit card as often as possible. One reason for my frequent swipe of the card is to maximize the rewards paid by my credit card company. My gas purchases are always made with a credit card at the pump. Much like the commercial on television, the shopping experience seems to go much more smoothly when businesses make it easy to accept credit cards. Credit cards also make it easy to track purchases on a monthly and annual basis.
